Anyone else notice a change in aggro range in PVE?
A few things i noticed in the last week.
It is almost impossible to sneak past a group of mobs with henchies. Somehow they always aggro some of them even if they are outside the aggro bubble range.
Other monsters joining the fight even if they are outside aggro bubble range. (Especially devourer type)
Other groups assisting a group that you are attacking even if they are outside aggro bubble range. Seems necro and mesmer groups are learning to fight together ;-(
Multiple waves of spiders coming out of the ground if you stand and fight. This happens in the jungle. As far as i can remember this was never the case ... only a single wave would pop up. But now additional waves will join in during the fight.
Anyone else notice this?
It is not a complaint but it seems like it is getting harder to move through zones without having to fight a big battle over every inch you move forward.

dont forget, we can only see *our* agro bubble, we have no idea how big the bubbles are for the henchies.
we cant see if a particular henchie also has moved into range of some of the spawn spots for these spider swarms, since theres no indication of where they are untill you trigger them.
(and, its possible that you have been to these areas once to many and trigered the add-a-baddie script that some folks have mentioned noticing. it might have been added to discourage permanent farming spots on human players or for making the game harder for those that wnt to keep in an area for whatever reason)

@Rayea i have been watching the relative aggro range for the positions of the henchies. So far it is not different from before while i do notice a change in the numbers of monsters i have to fight to before.
So i am wondering about the add-a-baddy script you mention. Is this counter a universal one or session related. When this happened i was going through several area's so entering them only once that session.
I have, obviously been there many times before ... would this influence the counter you refer to? AFAIK it was only there if you enter a zone many times in a row and only killing the first groups of monsters in a zone over and over again.

I have always had monsters coming from out of the aggro range. I guess some groups are rather large.
A few places seem to be really bad with that... Salt Flats?

hmm, shaquira. it could be like you said.
i dont realy go in and out an area much, prefer to clean an area sometimes if its close to civis ^^ *then i feel im doing them some good rather than just collectin stuff or on a killing rampage after a hard day at work*
but i did rmeember folks saying there was this increase in critters if you had been in a area too many times.
and they may have made the badies more um, help thier own out, so as to make us humans group up more rather than hang about with just henchies...dunno, why not ask the dev guy in the *ask a question* thread ?

Henchmen don't walk in a straight line so you have to go way around the mobs to make sure you don't aggro.

Most creatures are grouped together. If you attack one in the group, the entire group rushes to aid that one.

I've known of a few spots where this has always happened for me.

I seem to recall that particularly in the jungle - there WERE mobs that just stood there, without attacking. These mobs generally took quite a bit of damage before animating and attacking. It's likely a bug prevented them from activating appropriately. Furthermore, it's possible that the bug has been fixed.
